SpotPlane is operated by Atgrow OÜ. This Privacy Policy explains what information SpotPlane uses, why it is used, and how it is handled when you use the SpotPlane application or related services.
1. Information SpotPlane uses
SpotPlane does not require a user account and does not ask you to provide personal profile information.
- Location data: if you enable GPS/location access, SpotPlane may use your device location to show aircraft and weather information relevant to your area.
- Manual location: if you choose a fixed or manually entered location, that location is used to provide nearby aircraft and weather information.
- Technical network information: third-party data providers may receive technical information such as your IP address when the app requests data from their servers.
2. How location data is used
Location information is used only to provide SpotPlane features, such as identifying nearby aircraft, calculating distance, and retrieving local weather information.
SpotPlane does not use location data for advertising, profiling, or selling information to third parties.
3. Third-party data services
SpotPlane uses external services to provide live aviation, weather, airline, route, logo, and aircraft image information. These services may include:
- ADSB.lol and ADSB.fi for live aircraft data
- Open-Meteo for weather data
- Planespotters.net for aircraft imagery
- third-party aviation, airline logo, and route-data providers used by the app
Requests to these services are subject to the privacy practices and terms of the respective providers.
4. Advertising and analytics
SpotPlane does not currently display third-party advertising and does not currently use advertising SDKs for behavioral profiling.
5. Data storage
SpotPlane may store app settings locally on your device, such as display preferences, selected location mode, refresh settings, or other configuration choices.
SpotPlane does not maintain a user account database containing personal profiles.
6. Data sharing
SpotPlane does not sell personal data. Information is shared with third-party services only as needed to request and display the features described above.
7. Data retention
SpotPlane does not intentionally retain precise device location on its own servers for long-term tracking. Locally stored app settings remain on your device until they are changed, cleared, or the app is removed.
8. Children
SpotPlane is a general-audience aviation application and is not specifically directed at children. The app does not knowingly collect personal profile information from children.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the services used by SpotPlane. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when SpotPlane features, data providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
